StrawHat Auditions has been New York City’s premiere combined audition service since 1979. Having started as a single day, open call event on Theatre Row, we are now a 2-day event presenting over 500 actors, singers, and dancers, many making their first foray into professional theatre. Our online talent database hosts the profiles of over 1300 non-Equity performers. Our service has provided casting assistance to summer theatres, special event production houses, cruise lines, and theme parks from across the country, facilitating early professional performance experiences for thousands of actors – many of whom have gone on to significant careers. Broadway’s Casey Nicholaw and Judy McLane, TV’s Edie Falco and Barrett Foa, and many others have begun their careers pursuing summer stock with StrawHat Auditions.
